How To Commission Us

At JMK Goldsmiths, we take pride in bringing your vision to life through our bespoke fine jewellery commission service. Whether you have a vision for a one-of-a-kind wedding ring, eternity ring, engagement ring, pendant, set of earrings, or another unique piece, our goldsmiths will work with you every step of the way providing expert insight and creative guidance to ensure your piece is a unique reflection of your individual style and personal story.

We specialise in working with 18ct white, red, pink, and yellow gold, silver, and platinum, and you can select from our large range of precious and semi-precious stones to enhance the beauty and individuality of your commissioned piece.

The Commissioning Process

Step 1: Reach Out To Us

Your journey with JMK Goldsmiths begins with you—your vision, and your desires. Whether it’s a connection to a special moment or a unique emotion, we want to hear about it. Your story is the inspiration behind creating your one-of-a-kind piece. Reach out to us through email or phone to make a time to meet us at our Workshop, or just call into our Kilkenny workshop; after all, this is where the magic happens!

Step 2: In-Depth Conversation

Once we’ve taken the time to understand your vision and explain how we work, from here we’ll explore in detail a range of options from materials and weight to finishes. We’ll begin to sketch ideas to help you visualise your piece. We’ll also work together to agree on a budget. When you’re ready to move to the next stage of the commission being crafted, we’ll ask for a 25% deposit.

Step 3: The Showcase

At the midway point of the crafting process, if you desire we’ll share our work in progress. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, give us your feedback, and make any real-time adjustments in our workshop to make sure the final piece brings your vision to life.

Step 4: Take Your Bespoke Piece Home

Now it’s time for the final reveal – your bespoke, hand-crafted jewellery is ready! You can take pride in wearing your unique piece, a symbol of your story and Irish craftsmanship and as you take it home, envision the joy it will bring and the legacy it carries, crafted not just for you but for generations to come.
